Hungarian lowcost airline was first registered in summer 2003. Just after 11 months after they opened their first route from Katowice.

Today, Wizz Air operates in more than 600 routes, in 44 countries.

Tallinn - Kiev and Tallinn-London routes were opened in June 2018. A new route to Kutaisi, Georgia, will start in August 2019.

In May 2015 Wizz Air started its course to fully rejuvenate its brand and to change wholly its aircraft livery for a new type of Airbus A321neo airplanes.

Wizz Air's main goal is to make flying affordable for the Central Eastern European travellers.  This goal can be achieved mainly due to flying to a mix of primary, secondary and regional airports. But this wide route network is also providing a new travel experience to all travelers in other EU countries as well.

The idea behind low cost travelling is quite simple. Traveller is offered to purchase a ticket that includes only handluggage (size 20x30x40cm).
